A day at the races
On Wednesday 15 June we celebrated Ascot Races here at Princess Christian Care Home.
Our ladies decorated hats for the day and helped make hobby horses for the races.
Our Recreation and Well-Being Team dressed as jockeys and we had four horses named Beauty, Tintin, Mario and Queenie!
Our residents chose a horse and rolled a dice to allow their horse to move so many steps forward; the first three got rosettes to pin on the winning horses.
Everyone had so much fun watching the horses and enjoyed a variety of cakes, all washed down with cloudy apple juices.
We’ve had a request for a repeat of this soon, so roll on the next one!!
Sunshine and games
Our residents also enjoyed lots of games last week and have become experts at bean bag toss!
With the warm weather, we’ve been enjoying sitting outside under our gazebos listening to music and enjoying tasty ice lollies to keep cool.
