Time for cake!
We’ve enjoyed two recent birthdays here at Princess Christian Care Home.
Yesterday we celebrated our lovely resident Mary’s special day when she turned ’91 years young’!
She received some wonderful presents from her family and enjoyed a slice of her magnificent birthday cake which was made by our clever Catering Team – she said it was ‘simply marvellous!’
Today is our Resident Liaison Officer Haley’s 22nd birthday. As she is off today, we celebrated yesterday with a delicious chocolate cake, plus Prosecco and chocolates! Yum!
Many happy returns to them both!
Feathered friends
We have been busy preparing for the RSPB’s ‘Big Garden Birdwatch’ at the end of this month, which encourages everyone to get bird watching;
‘Simply count the birds you see in your garden, from your balcony or in your local park for one hour between 28 and 30 January 2022. Shockingly, we’ve lost 38 million birds from UK skies in the last 50 years, so it really is vital we do all we can to look after our birdlife. We’ve enjoyed lots of crafts making birds, as well as bird feeders to encourage birds to visit our gardens. We are looking forward to spotting them!
