On Sunday 20 March we celebrated Iranian New Year along with a couple of our Iranian residents and their family members here at Princess Christian Care Home.
Nowruz marks the beginning of the spring season and has been celebrated for over 3000 years.
As part of the celebrations, it is custom to have a table filled with Haft-sin which are a collection of seven items that symbolise a different hope for the new year.
Our residents enjoyed learning about the Iranian New Year and are looking forward to our next armchair travel experience.
