Dedicated Respite rooms at Princess Christian Care Home in Woking

Outstanding Care

Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, Princess Christian Care Home is a centre of excellence and ranks within the top 4% of Care Homes in the UK. The Home provides exceptional nursing and dementia care for up to 90 elderly and clinically vulnerable residents.

COVID Safe

Princess Christian Care Home is COVID Safe which means we offer peace of mind that we are doing all we can to keep our staff and residents safe from infection. We have completed a whole-Home vaccination programme for all our residents and staff, and whole-Home testing ensures everyone’s safety. Strict infection control measures protect against the transmission of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases, and we continue to adhere to the strict use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

All new residents are tested for COVID-19 on admission and although they are required to isolate in their rooms for two weeks by law, their quality of stay remains unaffected.

Rest and recharge with Respite Care

During these unprecedented times, the challenges of coping alone or within an extended family bubble can be overwhelming. Living circumstances may not be sustainable and life’s stresses can take their toll on all the family, especially if a loved one needs to recuperate following an illness, fall or stay in hospital. If this sounds familiar, it might be time to consider Respite Care.

Home from home

Our dedicated Respite Care rooms are designed to make a stay relaxing and comfortable. Each is equipped with a smart TV and residents have exclusive use of their own iPad or tablet, which can be used for music, entertainment and keeping in touch with family. All new residents also receive a complimentary welcome care pack which contains toothpaste, a toothbrush (vegan and sustainable – made from bamboo) and deodorant.

Delicious home cooked meals

Princess Christian Care Home offers delicious and varied menus to tempt all tastes. Our team of Chefs use fresh ingredients and a homemade touch to delight our diners with beautifully presented, high quality food every day.

Choose from an enticing range of meals, snacks and delicious desserts, which cater for a wide spectrum of special diets including diabetic, vegan, vegetarian and soft puréed foods. We also offer in-room dining and support at mealtimes if required.

Tailored activities and entertainments

Our Recreation and Well-Being staff offer a wide range of activities to make every day interesting and fun. From crafts and baking, to reminiscence activities and bingo, we make sure everyone enjoys their time with us and feels engaged with whatever pastimes they choose. We also bring tailored activities to those confined to their rooms, so everyone feels involved and included.

Dedicated Resident Liaison Officer

The physical health and mental well-being of our residents is of the utmost importance and Resident Liaison Officer, Joel, is integral to ensuring that everyone stays connected as much as possible. Extremely knowledgeable of everything happening in the Home, Joel is compassionate and dedicated to supporting all-round communication. Joel is the bridge between our care team, the people we care for and their loved ones.
