Dressing up for Icon Week at Princess Christian Care Home

Here at Princess Christian Care Home we’ve been busy with our ‘Icon Week’ this week.

Dressing to impress!

Bisley Unit started off on Monday with some lovely old movies, followed by dressing up for photo shoots. We had some very glamorous residents parading around in tiaras, net skirts, hats and feather boas!

In the afternoon our lovely Activities Team, Maria and Olivia, played some of our residents’ favourite music. They served smoothies and a variety of old fashioned cakes which were very much enjoyed by all.

Pirbright Unit held their Icon Day yesterday. Their props and backdrop were designed and painted by our Recreation and Well-Being Champions, Lucy and Carol, as well as our talented residents who really enjoyed making feather headbands and photo boards.

Along with their jolly trolley playing 20s music, residents were visited in their rooms for photo shoots and dressing up, and in the afternoon they held a tea party, with cake stands loaded with tasty treats, all washed down with homemade lemonade.

Our Manager Mario got into the spirit of things by donning an Elvis mask, much to the delight of all our ladies!

Our Knaphill Unit is hosting their Icon Day today, so watch this space for more photos!

Our sunflowers are shooting up…

Our competition for the best sunflower in each Unit is hotting up! Pirbright residents have now repotted theirs, as their plants have had a growth spurt; at the moment they are in the lead! Our other units aren’t far behind though and our residents are very good at watering duties!
