On Thursday 31 March, one of our lovely Princess Christian Care Home residents Jean celebrated being married to her husband Bill for 66 years.
We decorated our igloo outside for them with lights and balloons (plus a heater to make it cosy!).
Jean was so happy to see Bill and they celebrated together over glasses of fizz, plus a cake stand full of yummy cakes. They also received lots of beautiful flowers and cards.
Bill first set eyes on Jean when they were teenagers when they were celebrating VE Day in their town square. He said he spotted her and said to himself ‘That’s the girl I’m going to marry‘ – and he did!
He has bought her flowers every week since then! What a wonderful couple.
Huge congratulations to them both on their beautiful milestone.
