Top trolleys at Princess Christian Care Home

Lovely Bubbly

The Recreation & Well-Being team at Princess Christian Care Home were chuffed to receive a visit from Viv Stead (Recreation & Well-Being Manager) on Tuesday 23 June, for the presentation of their ‘Tart Up Your Trolley’ competition winners’ certificates and bottles of bubbly. She brought some breakfast treats with her too – win win!

Off your trolley

Nellsar’s 13 Care Homes entered into a fun group competition recently, to tart up their activities trolleys with any theme they wish. At the launch of the competition in April, Viv said, “If you haven’t got an activities trolley, you can improvise with whatever you have. There are no rules to this competition, so go all out! All it must do is spread a little cheer to our residents and make them smile. I know how competitive you all are and creative, so I cant wait!

Princess Christian was delighted to win across three categories with their entries from their three Units at the Home. Bisley Unit won “The Most Tempting Trolley”; Pirbright Unit won “The Most Entertaining Trolley”; Knaphill Unit won “The Coolest Trolley”. Well done everyone!

Getting creative

Residents at the Home have been busy making plant holders out of recycled bottles to bring some colour to our gardens. Some of our gentlemen have also enjoyed painting planes and bird boxes to decorate the trees in our drive.

Keeping cool

Due to hot weather we have put ‘Lockdown Olympics’ on hold until it’s a bit cooler but we will be having fun making lots of flavoured ice lollies and paddling our feet to keep cool!
