Showing her appreciation
Gina, our wonderful Service Advisor at Princess Christian Care Home in Woking, is our longest serving member of staff at the Home having joined the team in 2009. A strong advocate for team spirit and showing appreciation to her staff, Gina created an ‘Appreciation Board’ where she places copies of letters of thanks received from well-wishing family members.
Gina says, “This is the Appreciation Board for my staff; they are working so hard during this difficult time. They always put our residents first, they never question – we are very lucky to have such great staff!”
The latest letter on display reads, “I would like to take this quiet moment to say a huge Thank You to everyone who has looked after both Mum and Dad so wonderfully both before Covid and since. From personal experience in the industry, I know that these letters always thank the Management, Nurses and Carers, who in truth have all been fantastic and so deserve it, but I would also like to sing out for all the other guys. The ladies in the laundry who, let’s face it, do a thankless job and yet never managed to lose or shrink anything of theirs in the three plus years they have been there.The cleaners do an exemplary job and are hugely important, especially so right now. Good job guys – keep it up – you are the frontline defence for everyone, so walk tall and proud.”
