Our lovely Callie turned 60 on Saturday 29 July with us at Princess Christian Care Home and she loved her birthday cakes.
One was a special mini purée cake created by our Nutrition Champion Eduart, made with a biscuit base, custard and fruits of the forest. The other was a delicious celebration cake with fresh strawberries and chocolate decorations made by Chef Christian for her to to share with loved ones.
She was really happy to see her parents who came in to celebrate with her and other residents.
Our new resident Tony also enjoyed his birthday on the same day, turning 89 years young! He celebrated with his wife Mabel and other family members, who decorated his walking frame for him.
Chef Cristian made Tony a delicious birthday cake with fresh cream, strawberries and chocolate biscuits no less! Our birthday boy was so delighted with it, he asked staff for a spoon as he wanted to eat it all himself! Ha!
Many happy returns to them both!
