Last week at Princess Christian Care Home our theme was ‘Western fun’!
We played cowboy noughts and crosses with hats and sheriffs badges and the winner had to shout out ‘Yee ha!’. Our residents had a great time playing this and even Buttons our Home cat wanted to join in!
On Friday we made biscuit sheriff badges and horseshoe treats and then had fun decorating them with rolled yellow icing and coloured icing pens. Everyone enjoyed tucking into them with afternoon tea.
Our lovely ladies and gents also enjoyed playing Wild West Bingo, with themed picture cards which was great fun.
In the afternoon we welcomed Country and Western singer Elenor who entertained us all brilliantly with some fantastic music and we all wore our cowboy hats, sheriff badges and sang along – a great time was had by all!
We are now preparing for our 60s afternoon – watch out for beehive hair and treats from the past!
