We celebrated Burns Night on Monday 25 January with some haggis tasting and shortbread munching, all washed down with Irn-Bru and Scottish whisky, which went down well with everyone.
We also hosted a Scottish quiz to get everyone in the spirit of the day. Our lovely resident Doreen did very well indeed (…she was born in Scotland!).
For Australia Day, our residents enjoyed helping make kangaroo and koala masks and didgeridoo props which we used for our ‘Aussie photoshoot‘ which was great fun and really brought a smile to everyone’s faces.
We also served Lamington cake and glasses of fosters lager which were a big hit!
We took our Australian-themed trolley around all our rooms with goodies for all our residents and Australian music playing, including Rolf Harris songs which we sang along to.
A really G’Day was had by all!
