Carnival preparations
We have had such fun this last week at Princess Christian Care Home, getting our lovely residents involved with our carnival theme project.
Our ladies and gents have painted scenery, made pom-poms and paper chains and enjoyed trying on fun outfits. Hopefully the weather will stay good for us, but at the moment it looks like thunderstorms ahead, so we’re crossing our fingers!
Our lovely Activity Co-ordinator Carol has made us a coconut shy and we’ve had lots of donations of cuddly toy prizes. And our Activity Team put up their new gazebo (circus tent) all on their own, well done guys, it was a huge one!
Blooming marvellous!
Our first sunflower has come into bloom from our Knaphill Unit and it looks wonderful; we’re sure the others will follow shortly. Our gardens are looking amazing and we have had a brilliant response to ‘watering duties’, especially our lovely Judy who helps out every day.
Our residents are enjoying being out on the veranda, as you get a lovely breeze in this hot weather – and it’s been fruit smoothies and ice lollies all round!
