New team member
We have a new member of our Recreation and Well-Being Team here at Princess Christian Care Home.
Her name is Sian and she previously worked as a child minder and has also completed a course in beauty and massage – so she’ll be kept busy helping out in our new sensory room which we have named the Oasis Room.
She is settling in well and has already formed some lovely friendships with residents and staff.

Work experience
This week we have also enjoyed the company of two lovely young ladies, Sania and Aleeta from our local secondary school, St John the Baptist, who are with us for work experience
Our residents have loved spending time with them playing games and enjoying chats. The girls have become better chess players after guidance from our wonderful resident Jan who kept them on their toes!
Both Sania and Aleeta have worked hard alongside our residents and our Recreation and Well-Being Team preparing and painting scenery ready for our Caribbean Day – what a lovely job they have done too!
We hope the girls will join us for our celebrations and look forward to keeping in touch.
