On Sunday 11 September we enjoyed an amazing afternoon here at Princess Christian Care Home as our Activities Team had organised a Classic Car Show for our residents.
An array of stunning cars arrived at the front of our Home for everyone to enjoy and admire. There were some true classics, including a Rolls Royce, Rover, Riley, MG, Chrysler and The Sheriff Car brought in by Christine our Activities Manager. Such an impressive sight!
Our residents enjoyed walking around looking at the cars and having their photos taken; some of them reminisced about the cars and enjoyed sitting in them for a full hands-on experience!
A family member played the guitar and sang in the background during the event, to give more of a relaxed feel to the whole afternoon, which was wonderful. Such an interesting and fun event, enjoyed by everyone – with some lovely big smiles on our residents’ faces.
We’d like to say a very big ‘thank you’ to everybody who kindly brought their cars in for the afternoon, it was very much appreciated by us all.
