On Friday 28 April at Princess Christian Care Home we hosted our first Cooking Club in our Bisley Unit where our residents our living with dementia.
While Chef Cosmin and Dining Specialist and Nutrition Lead Adelina prepared pancakes on our mobile hob, Olivia from our Activities Team was on the bar serving fresh smoothies, teas and coffees for everyone to enjoy.
Our residents enjoyed filling their pancakes with fruit jams and loved their posh fruity smoothies! On hand to help were our Activities team, plus Adelina, Dining Assistant Bigash and Senior Carer Ionela taking photos. Our Manager Mario also came as a special guest to join in the cooking fun!
It was such a fantastic atmosphere, with lots of smiling faces, as everyone enjoyed their scrumptious treats.
Cosmin commented: “I’m so delighted to see how everyone is embracing our Cooking Club and how beautifully we all work together to bring joy to our residents.”
During the session, our residents also enjoyed a singalong; it was lovely to hear their voices as they all joined in. We all had a fantastic time together!
