Princess Christian Care Home receive crocheted face mask adaptors

Thank you so much Crochet Mask Adapters UK!

Princess Christian Care Home are extremely grateful for the wonderful donation of colourful crocheted face masks adaptors from Anna Stone who runs a Facebook group ‘Crochet Mask Adapters UK‘.

“I hope you don’t mind me getting in touch. I am currently making crocheted face mask adaptors for donation to key workers who are having to work with face masks on at all times to try and offer them some relief. They are small straps with two buttons to loop the mask elastic round to keep it off your ears and so hopefully make you more comfortable! As I live in Knaphill, I am keen to support local businesses and wondered if you might be in need of any? Please do let me know.”

Leo Mathew, Chartered Physiotherapist for the Home replied:

“We are really grateful to people like you who are enthusiastic to support care workers during these unprecedented times. I am very pleased to accept your offer and is sure that the device will help many staff to wear mask comfortably while at work.”

Along with the help of Susan Janiszewski and Kerry Bolton, Anna has kindly delivered a couple of batches of these comfortable adaptors for the Home’s staff. The are made from 100% cotton yarn and can be washed at 60-degrees to maintain infection control. Anna said, “If I can get anyone else locally making them to donate also and hopefully cover your whole team eventually!”

Leo Mathew commented, “Our staff really liked the product! They feel that this really helps.”

Princess Christian Care Home in Knaphill care for up to 92 residents, with a team of 132 staff. Everyone at the Home is eternally gratefully for this kind donation. Thank you Anna, Susan and Kerry!
